Occasionally, you may wish to know what CD Key was used to install Windows or an application such as Microsoft Office. Provided this data is stored somewhere, it can be retrieved. This utility is designed to find and display this data.
- Currently, only keys for modern Microsoft applications can be retrieved but this may be extended in the future.
- The CD Key should be retrieved correctly for Microsoft Windows 98/ME, and Windows 2000/XP/Vista (including server and 64bit editions).
- The CD Key of MS Office 2000 cannot always be retrieved since it may not be stored/encoded in the usual way.
- This is a small utility. It does not include install and uninstall methods or online help, etc. Simply download and run it. To uninstall, just delete it.
